General Terms: All bills are due in full by the date indicated on the statement. After the due date, a 10 percent penalty is applied. Services will be disconnected if payment is not made in full or arrangements made for delayed payment within five business days of the penalty date. If required payment is not received by 9 a.m. on the date of disconnection, a $45 fee is assessed prior to reconnection during normal business hours and $100 for after normal business hours. In addition, customer agrees to pay for repair of damaged equipment resulting from anything except natural causes.

Requirements for a transfer of responsibility at a service location:
    • Signed service application
    • Formal identification (i.e. drivers license)
    • Total deposit (entire deposit must be paid prior to the utilities being transferred) - Deposit amounts vary by location, please visit us at 106 W. Bourke Street or call (660-385-3173) to inquire about a specific address's deposit.
    • Deposits will be returned to residents after either 13 consecutive months with no penalties or they disconnect all services with MMU
    • If new services are requested and the residents own the house, the MMU office requires a copy of the proof of ownership to the residence to be kept in the MMU business office.

Important Dates

    • Statement to be received by the 1st
    • Payment due 15th (if the 15th is on Saturday payment due 14th on Friday - if the 15th is on Sunday payment due 16th on Monday)
    • Penalties (10% of remaining balance) added the next business day after payments are due
    • Non-pay disconnect 21st - if not at least half the bill is paid and an agreement signed to pay the other half by the last day of the month services will be disconnected
    • Non-pay disconnect 1st of the next month - if the remaining agreement amount is not paid services will be disconnected
